Translation :

The Agni Devata became the organ of speech and entered the mouth. Vayu became Prana the breath and entered the nostrils. The Aditya the sun became sight and entered the eyes; the quarters of space became hearing and entered the ears. Plants and trees, the deity of air, became hairs and entered the skin. Chandrma the moon became the mind and entered the heart. Yam the Death became the apana and entered the navel. The varuna the water became semen and entered the virile member.

Comments :

Agni Devata entered organ of speech. Organ of speech is subtle but it resides in our mouth. Mouth is not the organ of speech. It is subtler. Therefore it is the part of the Sukshma Sharira. The ability to speech is there even in a person with inability to speak. Language is also amazing. It happened by chance in Hawai Island. Labourers were hired from all over the world to take crop of sugarcane. All of them were speaking different language. They used sign language. The children were born. An amazing thing happened. The children started interacting with each other. They developed a language with words, grammar rules. They started speaking this language. Language is also part of our Samskara. There is universal language with universal grammar in all beings. It is there in animals too. Animals also convey. First meaning comes in their mind and then they convey. Human beings convey through words. Animals convey through other means. Honey bees have amazing way to convey. The scout bees go out in search of honey. Then they come back and they dance in front of other bees. That dance conveys the way to the flowers those have honey. Even ants convey the way to other ants. We are born with natural language within us. We give words to it and speak. That natural language and grammar was discovered by our Rishi Munis. Grammar by Panini Rishi is natural grammar for all creatures. Outwardly we may speak different language but essentially we all follow that natural language. Agni Devata became speech and entered mouth.

Vayu Devata became Prana, here it means breathing and organ of smell. Vayu entered nostrils and became the organ of smell. Even some animals have great sense of smell. We breathe Vayu in and out.

Aditya Devata – the Devata of light entered eyes. Without light we cannot see. To see world outside, we require physical light. But we can see with our eyes closed. We close our eyes and say I see nothing. But I am seeing that darkness. The ability to see is because of Aditya Devata.

Devata of direction Dik-devata entered ears. Space entered ears. Physical ears are just a place which is Golaka where organ of hearing resides with the Devata. Scriptures say that we should offer good food to these Devatas. They are sitting in all the organs. One should eat, see, hear, touch and taste good things which can be offered to those Devatas.

All the herbs, medicinal plants became the hairs on our body and they entered the skin. The skin is the broadest organ all over the body which has ability to understand the touch. One can experience touch even with closed eyes. The meaning of Devata is the one who illumines. Skin illumines touch. The ears illumine sound. The eyes illumine form and colour. All the herbs and medicinal plants are on our skin.

Chandrama Devata became mind and entered our heart. Mind functions from our heart. Emotions function from our heart. When a person is sad, he feels that in his heart. If one is hurt then, one feels it in one’s heart. Love, kindness, anger, jealousy are the emotions felt in the heart. This heart is near to the physical heart towards right side. Mind functions from this heart.

Mrityu Devata is also in human body. Mrityu became Apana Vayu and entered navel.

Water – varuna devata. Chemically water is made up of hydrogen and oxygen. They are gases. Both of them catch fire. But when they come together another element is born that extinguishes fire. Water quenches our thirst. We cannot survive without water. Water has many properties. Water can become white by becoming snow. It can become solid. It can turn into gas. Varuna Devata became semen and entered the generative organ.

All these Devatas were very pleased to see human body and they entered the body. Even now all the Devatas reside in our body.
